Cloud and Social Media Policy

  1. Drawn2Art respects the right of associates to engage in social networking (such as personal websites, blogs, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tik Tok, online group discussions, text messaging, message boards, chat rooms, etc.) during non-working hours as a medium of self-expression.  Employees should bear in mind, however, that although social media is generally viewed as a medium of a person’s personal expression, the posting of confidential or proprietary information should only be done in a professional capacity by those employees that do such posting as part of their jobs.

  2. Since some students (and possibly parents as well) will want you to “Friend” them on social media, please make it clear that you cannot engage with them personally on social media. Let them know it is not a personal choice, but is required by your Employer as part of your Employer’s policies.

  3. Employees who are not posting in a professional capacity must make clear that the views they express on social media are their own personal views and do not represent the views of Drawn2Art.  Employees must also protect Drawn2Art’s confidential and proprietary information.  All rules regarding confidential business information apply in full to social media sites, and Employees may not disclose sensitive, proprietary, confidential, or financial information about Drawn2Art, its customers, vendors, parents, subsidiaries, or affiliates., with the exception of non-confidential and publicly available information.

  4. Employees must also protect Drawn2Art’s intellectual property.  Employees are prohibited from misappropriating or using, without Drawn2Art’s express written permission, the corporate logo and intellectual property on any social networking site or other online forum.   Associates should also not link or otherwise refer to Drawn2Art’s website without obtaining the express written permission of Drawn2Art.

  5. Employees must also obey the law.  Any conduct which is impermissible under the law if expressed in any other form or forum also violates this policy if expressed through a social networking site.  For example, posted material relating to Drawn2Art and its employees that is discriminatory, harassing, retaliatory, defamatory, libelous, or malicious is not permitted.  Employees are legally responsible for any content put online relating to their employment, and can be held personally liable for such content.

  6. Employees may not post on social media or use the internet for personal reasons during their working time or at any time using the Company’s equipment or property. This also applies to personal phone calls and emails.  The company’s electronic communications systems are for business use only.

  7. Drawn2Art reserves the right to monitor all public social media posts for the purpose of protecting its interests and maintaining compliance with this policy.
